Five Stars
I really like it.
oh my!
Basically, take some parts if Starman's Quest and repackage it into a slightly altered short story and you have this.... dreak. If you're a fan of 50's pulp fiction - don't bother. If you're a fan of Silverberg's, abide by his wishes and don't bother. It is amazing that the story sold in the first place. This is a case where a lapsed copywrite simply ended up as a copywrong. It was best left buried where Project Guttenberg found it - in the dusty bins of history.
Jolly nice short story
All Silverberg's shorts that I've read so far have been pleasant easy reads. I shall continue to include him in my evening reading...
Author Disclaims the Story
This is a very early story of mine, more than fifty years old, that a pirate publisher has put up for sale without my permission. I didn't want it reissued. You buy it at your own risk.
Robert Silverberg
Unfortunate to have paid for this
This is a short story written in 1957. Not one of Silverberg's best. Humans have divided into two races: spacers (big and ugly) and earthers(small with lots of surgical changes). Not much plot. Everyone is unhappy.
