Anayo founded Carefree Magazine after working in media and realizing how rarely Black women's first-person narratives were being treated with the respect we deserve. Fresh off headlining two panels at Essence Fest 2026, she's currently embarking on an international book tour as editor of Black Women in Bloom, a coffee table book with over 30 personal essays from Black women across the diaspora sharing testimonies of healing, identity, and everyday life.

After 10 years in marketing with giants like Westbrook by Jada Pinkett-Smith, HBOMax with Issa Rae, Adidas, Topicals, Camille Rose & Live Nation, Cristina experienced serious burnout. Needing a mental health reset led her to pivot into the wellness space. Craving real community outside her usual work circles, she built Off Worque. 

Cristina's non-profit social club Off Worque empowers creatives, industry professionals, and entrepreneurs to find community outside of their workplaces. Through events, workshops, and insightful conversations with like-minded professionals, Off Worque teaches members to finally de-center their careers from their life.
