I was born in Livingston, New Jersey on November 6th, 1969, and grew up bouncing between New Jersey, Pittsburgh, and Marin County, California — but I picked up my first harmonica almost by accident at 15, in October 1985, and it became my thing within minutes. After a stretch in New Orleans and Sonoma County, I landed in Austin in 1993 and fell straight into the blues scene, where the late Gary Primich took me under his wing and taught me that crafting a song mattered as much as blowing harp well.

From there, my harp playing got me recruited as the featured harmonica player for The Civil War, a musical that opened in Houston and went on to a Tony-nominated run on Broadway. After a year in New York, I came home to Austin and have been here ever since — playing with luminaries such as Ruthie Foster, Cyril Neville and a long list of others, my new project The Outlaw Years, and holding down two decades with The McMercy Family Band.

These days I split my time between performing, recording, and teaching private harmonica lessons — in person in South Austin and online with students around the world. I've put together nearly 100 free theory lessons on YouTube, and I've got two solo albums out, I'll Worry If I Wanna and 5 Minutes of Passion. Below are the questions I get asked most.

Nicole M. Joubert (Sticky) & Cindy A. Joubert-Kelly (Snidly) have parents who encouraged their strong creative minds & abilities to bloom into unique creative styles. Cindy being the darker of the two, Nicole colorful and lighthearted. They both have endeavors varying from illustrations, paintings, sculptures, and written works. Many of these have been published, contracted or printed.

Outside of SIB.BLING RIVALRY, Nicole's illustrative works is known as: NikkinoxArts  & Cindy: Dreaming Lizard Graphics.

The Sisters collaborated many times but ultimately worked separate. When they were young, they imagined lots, and felt one day they would have a popular T-shirt line like Chip & Pepper  (in the sense of, creative clothing team).

The sisters have made great progress since the 80s. Back then they were known as Joubert Wolf Wear. At this time they painted clothing for local entertainers (Exotic Dancers & Band Members) with acrylic paints.

Through the years the Sisters continue to refined their talents & grow, learning from each other.

The Sister's Mission is:

To have a large line of quality clothing that is both creative & limited with a steady rotation of newer designs. Each item will list for a short time then retire. Your unique article of clothing will not be mass-produced such as a box store product. These beautiful designs are both wearable & collectible pieces of art.

SR will keep creating exciting, unique designs, alongside those in demand. These epic designs are derived from the girls own passions, which in turn touch fellow hobbyists.
