If you are not willing to wait on God, you are not ready to influence anyone for God. Gifts, talents, callings, skills, and anointing are marvelous assets as we follow Jesus. Yet, if in any way, we believe we are qualified to set the pace and establish the timing of how God moves in and through our lives, we are bordering on unholy presumption. You can do math and discern that this would have been a very long wait. From his amazing endurance, we receive an example of what it looks like to truly honor God with our lives and callings. If you put yourself in a place, it is on you to keep yourself there. If you wait on God’s timing, your promotion in the Kingdom will be His to anoint, prosper and protect.
