Scripture:

"Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.'" (Matthew 9:37-38, KJV)

In these verses, Jesus looks out at the multitudes of people who are weary, scattered, and in need of direction. He likens them to a field ripe for harvest, full of potential, ready to be gathered in. However, there is a problem: while the harvest is abundant, the workers are few.
