In 2003 Disney rolled the dice on a couple film adaptations of it's own IP contained in it's theme parks. These releases were Pirates of the Caribbean & The Haunted Mansion. While Pirates of the Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearl was met with astounding applause from both critics and fans of the property, The Haunted Mansion was panned across the board by critics and fans alike.
