The Healing Power of Friendship
Aired Friday, November 20, 2020 at 4:00 PM PST / 7:00 PM EST
Everyone has friendships they’ve maintained over the years. But now more than ever, it’s too easy to lose the connection you share with those you care about. After surviving a catastrophic car accident this week’s guest Shari Leid was diagnosed with breast cancer that resulted in a double mastectomy in her 40s. It was at that point that Shari took stock of her life and her relationships.
Enter ‘The 50/50 Friendship Flow: Life Lessons From and For My Girlfriends’ Shari Leid’s new memoir-meets-journal-meets-action-plan where she shares her experience of sitting down one-on-one with 50 friends over the course of one year to share the positive impact they had made in her life.
Just a few of the topics we cover are
• Get(ting) Rid of The BS,
• Follow Your Dreams,
• Simply Smile
and one of my favorite quotes “A Roadblock is Life’s Sign to Take a Detour.”
She also shared with us her Friendship Flow Challenge and her vision of her why “…it became crystal clear to me that health was a gift. By becoming healthy once again, I was given the opportunity to live each day to the fullest. I began to reflect upon and recognize the vast importance of the relationships in my life.”
Join us Friday, November 20th at 7PM ET and later in a podcast for this deeply personal and fascinating interview where Shari offers a conscious path to not only maintain your friendships but to deepen those relationships.
