Topic: THE HEALING PROCESS (Part 2)!
Memory Verse: "Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise" - Jeremiah 17:14 NIV
Bible Text: Jeremiah 30:17 CEV
17. No one wants you as a friend or cares what happens to you. But I will heal your injuries, and you will get well.
INSPIRATION: If one has a physical sickness, one is sure to take medical prescription to get well. But what do you take when your sickness is psychological, emotional, spiritual or any other form other than can be handled at the hospital? Herein lies the dilemma of most persons, medicating their illnesses with the wrong prescription. Who or what can cure the heart when its surest balm is no longer potent? Should one resign to fate?
Where answers are not readily available, the tendency to despair and perpetuate the pain is high. But God speaks reassuringly, "I will restore health to you." Trusting God becomes essential to your healing. The condition of your heart, whether of faith or fear, determines how long your process lasts. This is why no two similar cases can heal same way and time. God determines times and seasons but you can shorten or elongate your season.
TODAY'S TAKE HOME:
Know your processes and timing, then trust God as you wait for your season.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, please heal me of my past hurts, erase my scars and deliver me from Post Traumatic Stress Disorders and other forms of secondary woundings that reduce my self-worth. Restore and make me whole again in every aspect of my life, in Jesus name.
