Sometimes we focus so much on things like adultery and divorce that we miss the real issue that Jesus was after in Matthew 5:27-32, and that's the heart. God wants us to guard our hearts because that's where our life comes from. If we don't protect it, we'll end up with a divided heart that leads to a compromised life, and that's the heart of the matter that can eventually result in the issues of adultery and divorce.
