The heart chakra connects us to both the physical and spiritual aspects of ourselves. It is how we get in touch with our higher selves in relation to the rest of the world. When the heart chakra is out of balance we are disconnected from ourselves, have difficulty loving ourselves, we do not feel deserving of love and therefore we cannot receive love due to us not knowing who we are, it is easy to develop into depression from a lack of connection to self. When the heart chakra is in balance, we are fully connected to ourselves, cultivate joy easily, love, and accept ourselves. We give and receive love genuinely.  Life lesson: To experience compassion and connection with oneself and others.
