Blueprint of Faith

The help of man is worthless, with God we shall do valiantly

Listen Later

In this episode, we look at the principle of looking to God and not to man for our help. If we need to go to man the bible say that we need to do it with God's council.

Isaiah 41:13

For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, ‘Fear not, I am the one who helps you.'”

Psalm 146:3

Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.

Jeremiah 17:5

Thus says the Lord, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the Lord.

Psalm 118:9

It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in princes.

Isaiah 2:22

Stop regarding man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils; For why should he be esteemed?

Isaiah 30:2

Who proceed down to Egypt Without consulting Me, To take refuge in the safety of Pharaoh And to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt!

Isaiah 31:1

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help And rely on horses, And trust in chariots because they are many

And in horsemen because they are very strong, But they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord!

Isaiah 31:3

Now the Egyptians are men and not God, And their horses are flesh and not spirit; So the Lord will stretch out His hand,

And he who helps will stumble And he who is helped will fall, And all of them will come to an end together.
