After a few failed attempts to formalize in the first half of the 19th century, the Gullane Golf Club was established in 1882. The historic plot has hosted numerous amateur championships in its time and is also a frequent spot for Open Championship qualifiers. 

Liam Nicholson has been a Greenskeeper at Gullane for over 15 years, and he recently added to the list of notable events in Gullane Golf Club lore.
