With a nod to Victoria Schmidt, Elizabeth introduces us to the ideas & principles of The Heroine’s Journey in episode 1.

“It’s a circle of learning that never ends” - which makes The Heroine’s Journey a wonderful metaphor for the progress of women’s leadership learning and growth.

The Heroine’s Journey becomes a tool that you can use to understand where you are and where you’re headed, especially in your career and leadership roles.

And know that your own journey will move forward. You can take comfort in that whenever you’re feeling stuck, and prepare yourself for next steps.

In the second half of this episode, Elizabeth sets us on the path with Illusion, the first stage in The Heroine’s Journey.

Illusion. It fools us. It’s a tool of systems of oppression. And when we finally see through it, illusion sets us on the path of transformation and growth.
