For the uninitiated, the High Hawks are a Bluegrass/Americana music supergroup featuring members of Leftover Salmon, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, Hard Working Americans, Railroad Earth and Great American Taxi. Mother Nature’s Show is actually the band’s sophomore effort and demonstrates a lot of growth in this band’s combined effort. I caught up with Vince Herman Leftover Salmon’s frontman and one of the High Hawks vocalists and guitar players and Chad Staehly the High Hawks keyboard player to get a status check on the band’s evolution, the song writing process and how Mother Nature’s Show came together.
