Fall has a way of speeding everything up. Work ramps up, schedules fill, the end of the year starts looming, and before you know it, you're pushing through just to make it to the holidays.
In this episode, I'm sharing my three-step Fall Momentum Plan to help you stay focused and make meaningful progress without burning yourself out. We'll look at the regulation tools that keep you grounded, how to choose the two priorities that actually deserve your energy, and what you need to intentionally give less of yourself to in this season.
Because creating more capacity isn't about learning to fit everything in. It's about getting clear on what matters and giving yourself permission to let the rest take a back seat.
________________________________
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Know what regulates you. Identify 2–3 tools that reliably bring you back to yourself so you don't have to figure it out when you're already overwhelmed.
Pick two priorities. Decide what matters most between now and the end of the year, and protect your energy around those things.
Choose what gets less of you. Creating capacity requires trade-offs. Decide what can receive less time, pressure, or energy in this season.

Take the High Performer Stress Assessment → http://higheralignmentconsulting.scoreapp.com 100 episodes. Almost two years. And a life that looks completely different from the one I was living when I first started this podcast.
For this milestone episode, I'm taking a moment to look back—not just at what I've accomplished, but at who I've become along the way. From building Higher Alignment out of my condo and questioning whether any of it would work, to getting married, moving to the country, building a business I love, sleeping nine hours a night, and creating a life that actually feels full, so much of my growth came from learning to let go.
And that's what I want you to reflect on, too.
Because as high achievers, we're incredibly good at reaching one goal and immediately moving on to the next. We rarely stop long enough to recognize how much has already changed or who we had to become to get here.
In this episode, I walk you through a simple reflection exercise to compare where you were one or two years ago with where you are today, recognize the growth underneath your accomplishments, and actually celebrate the wins your brain is so quick to move past.
Whether you're in a season of growth, healing, maintenance, or simply being, you don't have to be running a marathon at all times. Sometimes higher alignment looks like pushing forward. Sometimes it looks like letting go. And sometimes it means stopping long enough to realize: I'm actually doing it.

Take the High Performer Stress Assessment → http://higheralignmentconsulting.scoreapp.com My wedding day did not go according to plan…and somehow, it was still the best day ever.
After months of planning every detail myself, I thought being prepared was how I would create the perfect wedding. Instead, the process became an unexpected lesson in everything I thought I had already worked through: perfectionism, control, people-pleasing, visibility, overthinking, and my tendency to high-perform my way through stressful seasons.
In this episode, I'm taking you behind the scenes of planning my wedding as a Type A, high-achieving woman — from realizing that wedding planning had essentially become my new job, to navigating difficult RSVPs, other people's opinions, asking for help, slowing down my business, and learning to regulate through one of the biggest transitions of my life.
And then the wedding day arrived…and things still went wrong. It rained. We moved the ceremony. We fell behind schedule. The sound had issues. After spending months trying to control every possible outcome, I finally understood that the goal was never to create a perfectly executed day.
The goal was to be present enough to experience it.
Whether you're planning a wedding, navigating a major transition, growing a career, raising a family, or entering a new season of life, this episode is about learning when to prepare and when to finally let go.

Take the High Performer Stress Assessment → http://higheralignmentconsulting.scoreapp.com I'm taking my own advice and stepping away from the podcast for a few weeks as I head into the final stretch before my wedding.
As excited as I am to marry Thomas, this season has stretched my nervous system in ways I didn't fully expect. Between planning every detail, navigating other people's opinions, chasing RSVPs, managing stress, and allowing myself to actually be seen and celebrated, I've had to confront some old patterns around people pleasing, visibility, and asking others to show up for me.
In this episode, I'm sharing what this season has taught me about nervous system capacity, allowing yourself to feel your emotions instead of suppressing them, and recognizing when it's time to adjust your expectations. Most importantly, I'm talking about why sustainable success requires us to adapt to the season we're actually in instead of forcing ourselves to maintain the same pace forever.

Take the High Performer Stress Assessment → http://higheralignmentconsulting.scoreapp.com What if success isn't about pushing harder, but about nourishing yourself first?
In this episode, I'm joined by my cousin, Christina Quach, for a conversation about business growth, nervous system regulation, and what it really means to come home to yourself. We explore why reaching your next level often brings old patterns like perfectionism and people pleasing back to the surface, and how slowing down can actually help you perform at a higher level.
Together, we discuss the difference between resistance that signals growth and exhaustion that signals you need rest. We also share simple ways to create more nourishment in your daily life through food, creativity, silence, and self-connection, so you can build success without losing yourself in the process.

Take the High Performer Stress Assessment → http://higheralignmentconsulting.scoreapp.com What if one of the greatest gifts you could give your child isn't better parenting, but a more regulated nervous system?
In this episode, I sit down with nervous system coach Laura Larios to explore how our childhood experiences shape the way we lead, parent, and respond to stress. We discuss why children borrow the nervous systems of the adults around them, how unresolved emotional wounds show up in high performers, and simple ways to break generational patterns without striving for perfection.
If you've ever wondered why your child's emotions trigger you or how to create a calmer, more connected home, this conversation is for you.

Take the High Performer Stress Assessment → http://higheralignmentconsulting.scoreapp.com What if the goal of nervous system healing isn't to feel calm all the time? In this episode, I challenge one of the biggest misconceptions about healing and explain why true emotional resilience comes from increasing your capacity to experience the full range of human emotions. I share why high achievers often suppress anger and sadness, how those emotions become stored in the body, and practical ways to safely release them.
If you've been chasing peace but still feel stuck, this episode will help you understand why making space for difficult emotions is the key to experiencing more joy, connection, and freedom.

In this episode, I sit down with my client Richard as he shares the burnout that nearly changed everything. From working 16-hour days and carrying the weight of his business to navigating physical symptoms, emotional exhaustion and overwhelming stress, Richard opens up about the moment he knew he couldn't keep pushing through.
Together, we unpack the mindset shifts and nervous system work that helped him recover, rebuild his confidence and become a stronger leader without walking away from the company he'd spent decades building. This conversation is an honest look at what burnout really feels like and what's possible when you finally decide to prioritize your own healing.

Take the High Performer Stress Assessment → http://higheralignmentconsulting.scoreapp.com I thought wedding planning would be stressful because of the logistics, but I realized the hardest part had nothing to do with vendors or timelines. It was the vulnerability of being seen and allowing people to celebrate me. In this episode, I share how planning my wedding uncovered a deeper belief that I have to earn love instead of simply receiving it. We explore how nervous system regulation, trusted relationships, and challenging old stories can help us let people show up for us. Take the High Performer Stress Assessment → http://higheralignmentconsulting.scoreapp.com If you've been thinking about quitting your job because you're completely burnt out, I want to encourage you to pause first. In this episode, I share why I no longer tell people to simply quit when they're unhappy at work.
I take you through my own burnout journey from working in finance at Mercedes-Benz, surviving on very little sleep, living in constant stress, and waking up every day with dread, to eventually building a business that feels deeply aligned with who I am.
The biggest lesson I learned is that burnout changes the way you think. When your nervous system is stuck in survival mode, it's difficult to make clear decisions about your career, relationships, and future. I'll explain why healing your burnout first allows you to see your situation with clarity so you can decide whether it's truly your job that needs to change or whether there's a deeper pattern asking for your attention.
________________________________
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Burnout changes your perception, making major life decisions feel more urgent than they actually are.
Healing your nervous system creates clarity so you can make decisions from alignment instead of survival.
If you don't address the root cause of burnout, the same patterns often follow you into your next job, relationship, or chapter of life.
