Herrara is visiting professor at the US Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania. Previously he was a professor of military history at the Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He served as an armor and cavalry officer in the US Army.

region today. A secondary cold front and an upper level disturbance
will bring some scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms to the
western Adirondacks and western Mohawk Valley late this afternoon
into tonight. High pressure will build in Thursday into Friday with
dry weather, comfortable humidity levels and slightly below normal
to seasonal temperatures to open September.
Mostly sunny. Not as warm with highs in the mid 70s. West winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
