Encill Tener was a yeoman on the USS New Jersey in May of 1916. One day he sat down at his typewriter to write home, and the result was a mini time-capsule explaining the ups and downs of life in the US Navy during World War 1.

Gordon thought it would be fun to share this letter with our listeners, in particular because Encill was his grandfather.
