This week, inspired by last week’s discussion of the Count of Monte Cristo, we take a look at some real revolutions. If you ever wondered about what makes a successful revolution, or about the difference between a revolution vs. a coup d’état, look no further. As far as the cause of most revolutions… it turns out it’s usually about money, which isn’t really surprising since it seems like most conflicts boil down to squabbles over either money, power, or both.

We’re back… and we brought pirates! Actually, that’s probably not such a great idea, what with all the stealing and pillaging and slow-matches in the beard and buckets of burning sulphur. Of course that’s only if we brought Edward Teach, but you get the idea. This episode was recorded live in front of a very groggy audience on a Sunday morning at the Brass Screw Confederacy Steampunk festival in Pt. Townsend, Washington on June 11, 2017.
