Since working in the wedding industry, I have been introduced to so many fun wedding traditions that I never really questioned or wondered about in the past. That being said, I recently became curious as to why some of the typical wedding traditions that we see today (bridesmaids and groomsmen, the white wedding dress, wedding cakes, etc.) were created in the first place. When did they start? What do they truly mean? Let me tell you, some of the reasons behind these traditions are either hilarious or just flat out barbaric.
