Max brings the notebook to his friends—Eli the techie, Zoe the stargazer, and Rae, the group's quiet observer—and together they begin decoding the strange entries. One warning stands out: “DOORS OPEN UNDER PRESSURE. BUT NOT ALL OF THEM CLOSE.” Following Benny’s drawings to a location near the woods, Max encounters a strange doorway outlined in stone, shimmering with a heatless light. He sees something—someone—through it, and realizes with sudden certainty that Benny didn’t just vanish. He went through something.
