How do we manage the overwhelm when it comes to witnessing seemingly constant tragedy in the world? How do we handle conflict that arises with loved ones in relation to global issues (i.e Covid, what else?)? Chrissy and Jessie have an unfiltered chat about the struggles of right now, and lean on each other like sisters do.  

We all know that self care is hugely important, especially in these crazy times - so why is it so damn hard to put it into practice?? Jess and Chrissy are back for 2021 (finally!) and the first topic up for discussion is a big one. Why can it be such a challenge to take care of our WHOLE selves and what can we do to turn things around?  

We did it! Our first season of The Hood comes to a close with episode 10 on this New Year's Eve. We continue our chat about what we are looking forward to (and cautiously hopeful for) in the year ahead. A million thank yous for joining us on this journey. Jessie found a bag tangled in a tree while out for a walk and, well, it got weird. Chrissie had an awkward encounter with a friend... or a stranger... or a friend. We're still not entirely sure. And some homesickness tears are thrown in for good measure. Because that's what we do apparently! 

Mum opens up about her experiences of post natal depression, becoming a single parent, entering the work force in her 50s and becoming a world traveller in her 60s. We feel so grateful to have these chats immortalised on the podcast! An absolute champ! Go mama!

We welcome our mama to the pod in episode 6! She tells us about her life and family dynamics while growing up and also talks about being a mum to 6 kids (insane). She was VERY nervous but was an absolute star. Enjoy!
