Hospitality to the Saints
Romans 12:13 “Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.”
Hospitality = stranger love
Seek to show = to run, persecute, chase after
Hospitality to the Stranger
Lev 19:33-34
33 When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. 34 You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
Genesis 18:1-10 Abraham and Sarah showed hospitality to travelers.
Luke 14:12-14 Jesus was passionate about showing hospitality to the needy.
Matthew 25:31-40 Jesus saw refusing kindness like hospitality to the needy as a major problem on judgment day.
Hospitality to the Unbeliever
2 Kings 6:19-23 When the king of Israel showed hospitality to his enemies, they stopped attacking.
