It will remain hot today with triple-digit heat and high heat index values. Poor air quality is expected in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. An isolated storm is possible across portions of Central Texas this afternoon. Tonight's temperatures will be similar to the past several nights with lows from the mid-70s to the mid-80s. The excessive heat and breezy conditions during the afternoon will result in an elevated critical fire threat.
