The House of Love

Listen Later

A (relatively) in-depth analysis of House of Love in just under fifteen minutes.

The group rose to prominence in 1987 with their first single Shine On, released on the Creation label. In the US, I Don't Know Why I Love You, Marble and You Don't Understand were also popular on alternative rock radio stations.

They disbanded in 1993 and after a hiatus of ten years, reformed in 2003. They have been cited as an influence by bands such as Slowdive and Ride.

In 2020, chief singer-songwriter-guitarist Guy Chadwick announced a change of line-up and that he had recruited a new band.
