On this episode: Associate Professor and Director, Joy Renner (MA, RT), and Radiologist Assistant, Chris Young (MRS, RRA, RT), join us as our featured guest hosts to take us through some of the various topics within our profession. We get to learn about what brought them into the career field of radiology and what inspired them along the way. During the discussion we talk through making the decision to obtain a higher education and how to find a program that better fits your goals.
Together they explain the importance of the education medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals have and how it aids in better treating our patients. Mrs. Renner shares how confidence is vital in building trust among other health care members and our patients. Mr. Young shares that confidence demonstrates not only the "how" but the "why" when performing procedures and obtaining images for our radiologist.
Mr. Young shares how working as an RA and educating RT/RA students and residents aids in his ability to teach the "why" in everything that he does; helping those around him gain their own confidence and a deeper learning of our daily work. Together they share their thoughts on #weareateam and what that looks like to them.
Toward the end of the conversation Mrs. Renner shares some of the feed back from the Radiologist who train RA students.
