Today we're broadcasting from Kent City as the D6 Kent City Eagles Football team is currently undefeated heading into tomorrow's semi-final game against Kingsley - and with a win, they'll be heading to Ford Field next weekend! Throughout the show, we were joined by Josh Garvey and some of the other great folks connected to the Kent City Eagles so we could hear about their amazing Football season. We were also joined by some of our other great guests to talk about the Lions, Michigan and Michigan State Football, and more. We kicked off the show talking with Jason Vogel, who is the Athletic Director at Kent City. He talked about a great season for the Eagles, talked about how big this weekend's game is for Kent City and the Community, and more. We were then joined by former Detroit Lion Lomas Brown and Josh Garvey from Doeren Mayhew for our weekly "Inside the Lions" segment. During that time - Huge, Lomas, and Josh gave us their thought's on what went wrong in that loss to the Eagles, they talked about how the Lions and the New York Giants stack up against each other, discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the Lions currently, gave their predictions on the game, and much more. We wrapped up the hour talking with our friend Greg Heeres about the Detroit Lions. He and Huge talked about what the Lions need to do against the Giants on Sunday, talked about expectations moving forward, and more. In our second hour we were joined by Bill Crane, who is the Superintendent for Kent City Schools. He and Huge talked about a big game for the Eagles tomorrow, talked about how big it is for the community, and more. Anthony Broome from theWolverine.com then joined us to talk Michigan Football. He and Huge previewed tomorrow's game against Maryland, looked ahead to OSU, and more. We then had a "Moving Ferris Forward" interview as Huge spoke with Ferris State University President Dr. Bill Pink. He and Huge talked about a big game for Ferris Football as they're set to take on Northwood tomorrow, Dr. Pink talked about how well FSU Volleyball has played as they're hosting the GLIAC Tournament this weekend and are taking on Grand Valley tomorrow, and more. We were then joined by Northwood University's Head Football Coach Dustin Beurer. He talked about a great season for the team, talked about taking on the Bulldogs tomorrow, and more. We wrapped up the hour talking with Jim Comparoni from SpartanMag.com about MSU Basketball and tomorrow's Football game against Iowa. In our final hour, we were joined by the Kent City Eagle's Head Coach Zach Gropp. He talked about what the off-season was like for the Eagles, talked about when he first knew that this team would be special, told us about what the culture is like, and much more. We were also joined by Senior Cooper Stinson who talked about what his expectations were coming into the season, talked about the bond he has with some of the other Seniors as well as the Coaches, and more. Andre Meade, who is the QB, also joined us to talk about how focused he is to take on Kingsley tomorrow, told us what makes this team special, and more. Logan Thompson also joined us to give his thought's on the team's chances in tomorrow's game, talked about what's different at Kent City, and more. Trevor Rawso joined us as well to tell us about what he's enjoyed the most about playing for Kent City, talked about how the Coaching Staff help keep Kent City special, and more. We were then joined by Coach Freeland to talk about his bond with the other Coaches, to talk about Coach Gropp's style of Coaching and what he puts into it, and more.
