The Hunters trilogy is coming to a lukewarm close as unfortunately the quest to obliterate Klaus is overshadowed by Elena's Guardian transformation. Her quest to complete her destiny? To kill Damon Salvatore (uh-oh). And Stefen doesn't really seem to care that much (double uh-oh). And Klaus, instead of going on a murdering spree, decides to spend most of the book looking for Elena's deep dark secret (eh.)
