A Bunch of Nonsense

The Hunting Wives, Episode 4

Listen Later

Alright y’all, Episode 4 kicks things up a notch. Abby’s body has been found, and suddenly everyone in Maple Brook is scrambling to cover their tracks. From red panties in the sofa cushions to a Tesla that is never charged during the last few episodes, we have a great show unpacking the following:

  • Jill and Brad: Jill is running damage control, desperate to make sure Brad’s alibi matches hers. You can almost see the guilt written all over her, but she’s determined not to let him go down.
  • Sophie: Meanwhile, Sophie is unraveling. Her gun is missing, panic is setting in, and she leans harder on Margo — who, surprise surprise, is right there to manipulate the situation. Instead of comfort, Margo seduces her, and together they start rehearsing a “shared story.” It’s messy, it’s toxic, it’s classic Margo.
  • The Law (or Lack Thereof): Clint conveniently places Pete on leave to redirect suspicion, Sheriff Jonny is still asleep at the wheel, and Deputy Salazar seems to be the only one actually trying to get justice for Abby.
  • The Vigil Turned Arrest: The most jaw-dropping moment? During Abby’s candlelight vigil — a scene meant to honor the girl’s life — Jed hijacks the mic to announce his political ambitions (yep, classy move). And just as the town is holding their candles, Sophie gets arrested. Why? Because her missing gun turned up at another crime scene and has been identified as Abby’s murder weapon.

Episode 4 Sophie’s right in the crosshairs now. We’ve got manipulation, small-town politics, and a vigil that ends with handcuffs. Maple Brook is officially chaos, and the lies are starting to catch up with everyone.
