Each year, the conversation surrounding the mental health of our family members, friends, colleagues, clients and ourselves has increased in the number of conversations and as a result has gotten louder within our respective communities, cities, countries, and worldwide. Millions of people struggle with or are living their reality with a mental health disorder outside of the regular stresses that life can bring upon us. Today, across Canada, that conversation is being highlighted in more ways than one with various initiatives to help us raise awareness and to give attention not only to the health of others but for ourselves.
Today’s conversation was not reserved solely to support these initiatives but one that we as professionals wanted to open up again and dig deeper into what affects individually and what steps we can take to identify, accept, manage, and seek help where needed.
In part two of our Mental Health Matters series, we check in with another Tania - Tania Vincent - personal trainer, wellness coach, and owner of the Lotus Centre in Montreal, Canada, as a follow up to our initial conversation in the spring discussing her challenges with anxiety. Join us as we answer questions from her clients, provide suggestions as to how to manage stress and anxiety, and to answer the most important question considered today - “How are you?”
