HISTORY WORTH SAVING - Monica Sawyer is doing her best to save the remarkable Ritz Theater in Corpus Christi, Texas. Built in 1929, the former movie palace has also hosted music icons like Elvis, Willie Nelson, Bruce Springsteen and countless thousands in its Spanish courtyard style auditorium. The City of Corpus Christi recently awarded the Ritz a matching grant to help restore its roof. Now that the interior is safe from the elements - the rest of the work can begin.
