In the spring of 1992, six people were murdered. All of them in shops next to the I-70 highway. Five of the six were women. All brunettes with slender build. They were killed execution style in the back of the shops with a small caliber bullet. The media released the information that the gun was the linking element and the killer went silent. Years later a string of killings occurred along another stretch of highway in the South. But still nothing. In 2021 a joint task force was created to solve these murders. Even still, the case remains open.
