The I in Us

The I in Us with Kylie Bond 14 August 2025

Listen Later

On this episode of The I in Us, Paul and Cody welcomed Intersex Peer Support Australia Peer Support Coordinator Kylie Bond to the show for the very first time.

Kylie’s journey of self‑discovery began in 1996 when she learned she was intersex. That pivotal moment led her to attend the first peer‑led Intersex Support Group at Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital.  This was her very first step in her healing journey. It was there, among others like her, that she found a profound sense of belonging and the transformative power of shared experience. In addition, she met friends who became lifetime friends.

In her new role at Intersex Peer Support Australia, Kylie is committed to extending that healing to others, and amplifying the stories of intersex individuals to foster understanding, build community connection and strength, and empower acceptance and resilience.

Paul and Cody also welcomed back Executive Director of InterAction for Health and Human Rights, Morgan Carpenter for the second iteration of the show’s new segment, “now in intersex news, with Morgan Carpenter”.
