In Chapter 10, we learn about the FBI's use of Confidential Human Sources (CHSs). The report found that, while the Crossfire Hurricane team did not place any CHSs or UCEs (Undercover Employees) in the Trump 2016 campaign, several of their CHSs and UCEs frequently interacted with three Trump campaign officials, allowing them to penetrate and monitor a political campaign. Also, we find out that the Supervisory Special Agent (SSA 1) in charge of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation gave an FBI briefing to candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton during the campaign cycle without disclosing his position within the investigation. He used the briefing as an intelligence gathering exercise on the candidate Trump and the Trump campaign.
