Have you ever wondered why reading the Bible matters beyond Sunday service? How does God's Word make a difference in your everyday decisions, friendships, school life, relationships, challenges, and future?
Welcome to Episode 6 of The Ignited Generation Podcast!
In this episode, BUILD ON THE WORD, Pastors David and Olu Olabode explore why God's Word must be the foundation of our lives—not just a book we read occasionally, but the truth we live by every single day.
Jesus teaches in Matthew 7:24–27 that the person who hears His words and puts them into practice is like a wise person who builds a house on a rock. When the storms come, the house stands firm because its foundation is secure.
Life will bring challenges, difficult decisions, peer pressure, uncertainty, and moments when doing the right thing isn't easy. But when we build our lives on God's Word, we gain wisdom for our decisions, strength for our challenges, direction for our journey, and truth to guide our choices.
In this conversation, we explore:
🔥 Why God's Word matters — Discover why the Bible is more than a religious book and how it speaks to your everyday life.
📖 Building on a solid foundation — Learn what it means to hear God's Word and put it into practice.
💡 Applying the Word daily — Discover how Scripture can guide your choices, relationships, conversations, and responses to life's challenges.
💪 Standing firm when life gets difficult — Understand why a life rooted in God's Word can remain steady when storms come.
🌱 Becoming a doer of the Word — Move beyond simply knowing what the Bible says to living out its truth.
Whether you are a teenager, young adult, parent, or anyone seeking to grow deeper in your walk with God, this episode will challenge and encourage you to make God's Word the foundation of your everyday life.
KEY SCRIPTURE: Matthew 7:24–27 — Build your life on the Rock!
YOUR TAKEAWAY: Don't just hear the Word. Read it, meditate on it, believe it, and live it!
REFLECTION CHALLENGE: What is one thing God has shown you in His Word that you can put into practice this week?
Remember, an ignited generation is a generation rooted in God's truth, passionate about His presence, and committed to making kingdom impact!

EPISODE 5: MORE THAN A SUNDAY CHRISTIAN
What does it really mean to follow Jesus?
Is being a Christian simply about going to church on Sunday, singing worship songs, listening to a message, and then going back to everyday life on Monday?
In Episode 5 of The Ignited Generation Podcast, David and Olu Olabode have an honest and practical conversation about what it means to be MORE THAN A SUNDAY CHRISTIAN.
Following Jesus is not just something we do in a church building. It is a daily walk.
Jesus didn't say, "Attend Me." He said, "Follow Me."
In this episode, we talk about what it looks like to live out your faith when you're at school, university, work, with your friends, online, and in the everyday moments when nobody from church is watching.
We explore the difference between knowing about Jesus and actually following Jesus, and why our faith should influence every area of our lives.
You'll discover five signs that your faith is becoming real:
✨ You want to know God, not just know about God.
✨ God's Word begins to influence your decisions.
✨ You care about how you represent Jesus.
✨ You choose obedience even when it's difficult.
✨ You want other people to know Jesus too.
But this episode isn't about trying to be perfect.
Following Jesus doesn't mean you'll never make mistakes. It means that when you fall, you know where to run—back to Jesus.
We also talk about the importance of our private lives, because who we are when nobody is watching matters to God.
Your faith should travel with you.
Into your classroom.
Into your university.
Into your workplace.
Into your friendships.
Into your relationships.
Into your online world.
Into your future.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:16:
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."
You don't have to wait until you're older to make a difference. You don't need a platform. You don't need to have everything figured out.
God can use you right where you are.
🔥 THE IGNITED CHALLENGE
This week, we're challenging you to take your faith beyond Sunday.
For seven days:
Don't just attend church.
Don't just talk about Jesus.
FOLLOW HIM.
Your Christianity isn't just something you attend.
It's a life you live.
💬 REFLECTION QUESTIONS
• Am I following Jesus every day, or is my faith mainly connected to church?
• What area of my everyday life do I need to surrender more fully to Jesus?
• If someone watched my life for seven days, would they see evidence that I belong to Jesus?
And as always, we're leaving you with our signature question:
"What is God awakening in you—and what will you do with it?"
Because this is your generation.
Your time.
Your purpose.
Your assignment.
Don't just watch what God is doing. BE IGNITED. 🔥

EPISODE 3: YOU’RE NOT TOO YOUNG — GOD CAN USE YOU
Have you ever thought, “I’m too young to make a difference?”
Maybe you feel like you need to grow older, know more, or have everything figured out before God can use you.

Episode 1: WHO AM I? — Discovering Your Identity in Christ
Welcome to the very first episode of The Ignited Generation Podcast!
In a world constantly telling us who we should be, what we should look like, and what makes us valuable, one question becomes incredibly important:
WHO AM I?
Before we can discover our purpose, influence our world, or make Kingdom impact, we must first understand our identity in Christ.
In this episode, we explore what it means to discover who God says we are—and why our identity cannot be built on our appearance, achievements, popularity, relationships, failures, or the opinions of others.
The world may try to label you, but God gets the final word about who you are.
You are not an accident.
You are God's workmanship.
You are chosen.
You are loved.
You are a new creation in Christ.
You are called.
And you were created with purpose.
We will talk about why identity comes before assignment, how to stop allowing culture to define you, and how knowing who you are in Christ gives you the confidence to live boldly and shine your light.
Our prayer is that by the end of this episode, you will not only ask, “Who am I?” but confidently declare:
“I am who God says I am!”
