*note: i did not mean to say that all romantasy was not serious literature - as i would qualify my book itself as a romantasy, and some romantasy books are some of the best stories i've ever read. but overall there's many romantasy books that are not trying to be serious novels but instead just bring joy and fun to our lives, and this is totally wonderful; my point was they, too, have a responsibility to no longer play into the dominator model - not just "serious" works of fiction.
