Maulana Aakil Bhula is a born and bred Barbadian. Since graduating from the Islamic Dawah Academy, Leicester, in 2007, where he completed the Darse-Nizami, he has been serving as the Imam and Khateeb at Jama Masjid, Barbados. Maulana is actively involved in various local and regional projects and organisations and takes a keen interest in youth development and fostering healthy relationships with the local community.
