I've spent my entire adult life dealing with weight, dieting, and body image issues and I know I'm not alone - by some estimates, around 50% of men are dealing with body image issues as well.
When we talk about body image in general terms, I think (or at least in my own impression) it is a conversation that has been skewed more towards women. And I don't think that's unreasonable - women have had it bad with being judged for their bodies so prominently, so obviously, and for so long.
And fortunately, there are inklings that this is starting to change - body positivity is a growing movement for example.
But with conversations around body image and body positivity, it can be to see any men speaking up about their own body image issues or the impact of negative body image in men.
So let's talk through the impact of negative body image issues in men, I'll explain how it has impacted me, and a few things you can try to do to help not feel so negative about your own bodies.
