Our latest podcast from Wolf at the Door Studios, THE VERY WORST THING THAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN, won Best Audio Fiction from an Established Creator in 2023, and has recently been nominated for five Ambie awards. So naturally, we wanted to share.

THE VERY WORST THING THAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN was written and directed by Alex Kemp, writer/director of The Imperfection and Modes of Thought in Anterran Literature. This 9 part limited series follows Raul’s life in Hong Kong as it is turned upside down when he discovers that he can exchange letters with Sara Cloutier, an erotic fiction writer who’s been dead for thirty years. On the run from mysterious forces, Sara and Raul race to meet ‘in the middle,’ in a life-changing attempt to find meaning in a broken and absurd world.

Wolf at the Door Studios and the band POOLSIDE team up to bring you a new kind of fiction anthology, where different writers created short fiction pieces inspired by each song on the album, and the music is reworked and remixed create the underscore. This is an experiment in melding music and fiction, and most importantly, we had a great time working with amazing writers and the band to create something authentic and unique.
