Four Reasons Why Committing to a Church is Important

1. It’s an act of spiritual obedience to God (v. 14-19)

2. It shows spiritual maturity (v. 20)
Making a commitment makes a powerful statement in a low-commitment culture
Don’t wait for the perfect church!

a. Myth: “Spiritual growth is automatic.” — Reality: It is intentional
b. Myth: “Spiritual growth is individual.” — Reality: It is relational

4. It provides spiritual protection
We are offering ourselves to one another to be encouraged, corrected, and served.
