In this episode, Patrick is joined once more by his friend Francis Viner to talk about friendship, especially the importance of friendship in one’s life as one gets older, and the need to have friends who have been on the journey with us.

- A parent/child relationship is singular, it’s not like anything, it is what it is. Pushing friendship into the equation… I don’t think it is misguided, it’s going to have its own joy and value. My relationship to my own children is not a friendship, there’s complexity of a whole other kind.
