Why you need EQ to be an OUTSTANDING Sales Person.

EQ or Emotional Intelligence determines how you communicate with people, navigate conflict, build connections, express yourself and show empathy.

So let’s break these down in selling terms:-

1.    Communication - how you communicate with a client or customer is going to make or break your career in sales. Lack of communication and follow up is one of the major reasons Buyers don’t proceed.

2.    Navigating Conflict is really about problem solving and finding solutions.  If you can do this well, and without losing your cool, then you will have a huge advantage in any selling environment.

3.    Building connections with clients will ultimately lead to trust and long-term relationships with these clients. Trust is key.

4.    How you express yourself will determine how clients and customers respond to you.  Confidence is the key without being pushy or aggressive.

5.    The capacity to show empathy will give you a huge advantage in a selling environment. It will allow you to prioritise the feelings of the client and again build TRUST.
