In this episode, I share the mic with Denise Schroder. Denise is a renowned real estate agent in Oklahoma, whose life has been anything but easy. But that would never stop Denise - in fact, it inspired her to work even harder to prove the naysayers wrong. After leaving a toxic marriage, Denise promised herself that she would live out her dream of becoming a real estate agent, but it wasn’t without some challenges along the way. Through a series of highs and lows professionally and personally, Denise continuously displayed the type of grit and resilience that we all hope to have when the going gets tough - and while on her journey to rediscover herself, Denise was lucky to find truly unconditional love & the ideal business partnership with her husband Troy.
Our conversation will resonate with and give hope to any listeners who have battled their own self-doubt or have been struck down by the doubt of others. Tune in to hear Denise and I chat more about:
A few of Denise’s quotable moments from this episode:
“When you’re in a toxic relationship, you feel like a slave to fear.”
“Divorce is going through surgery without anesthesia.”
“God has used my failures and mistakes and trials and train wreck situations, for me to be a beacon of open a lighthouse to others. It's not a hindrance, it doesn't make me damaged or broken. To help other people, it actually gives me credibility, because that's how we connect to other people if we are open and vulnerable to sharing that grit.”
“Don’t allow other people to steal your dream because they don’t have one of their own.”
