The Importance of Proofreading with Lucy Morton

After earning a degree in English, Lucy spent nearly a decade as a paralegal at a competitive law firm in Austin, Texas, serving as (among other things) the final set of eyes on countless legal and professional documents. She earned a reputation as the “go-to” proofreader in the office, editing everything from press releases to appellate briefs. Upon moving back to her home state of South Carolina in 2020, Lucy decided to take her love of editorial work to a new level. She founded LKM Editorial in February 2021, with the goal of using her keen attention to detail to help individuals and businesses succeed in producing clean, professional content. When not editing, she can be found in kitchen baking, listening to a podcast, or walking around her neighborhood in Charleston, SC.
