In this episode of "Financial Roll Call with James Fay," we will be talking about the importance of setting up an emergency fund. Our special guest is Edna Morasse, who is a Sergeant with the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office.
In a previous episode, we spoke about taking ownership of your number one asset, which is you and your ability to work, make money and build wealth. This is the foundation on which you will build your financial plan. If you do not have your number one asset properly protected, then chances are that whatever financial plan you have in place will fail.
We mentioned that one way you can lose that number one asset is through loss of job and more specifically getting laid off. This topic is never more important than the times we are living in right now with the calls to defund the police. This can certainly lead to layoffs.
So, I would ask all the law enforcement listeners: “Are you financially prepared if you were to lose your job tomorrow?”
