As a follow up to our live discussion on why Black women need safe spaces of healing, this week we talk about the importance of sisterhood during the healing process. We were never created to be alone or to live in silos, however, very often we are going through things alone. And the truth is we crying out for help. We go through things alone for a few reasons. First, a lot of the times we have emotional walls up, and we don’t trust others to let them in. Secondly, we have been hurt by what has been coined as sisterhood, and we don’t want to be the topic of anyone’s group chat, or the tea everyone is sharing. Last but not least, we are afraid of being judged, or condemned if we share our experiences. Of course these are just a few, and we address these topics along with a few more .
Joining me on this week's podcast are some My sister’s Keeper alumni who have gone through their own healing journey, and has embraced healthy sisterhood during their process!. This conversation was both therapeutic and soul stirring! You will feel sisterhood. I Know it will bless you, and challenge you to find healthy sisterhood on your own healing journey.
