Navigating Cancer TOGETHER

The Importance of Stepping Up and Being Your Own Best Advocate with Tracey Stills

Listen Later

Tracey Stills is a 20-year African American breast cancer survivor/thriver, wife, and mother. Tracey became the advocate she couldn't find. The one that she needed while fighting for her life. She had many trials and tribulations that came her way during treatment. Her faith is what sincerely sustained her.

A few highlights from the show:

Tips from Tracey

1. Keep every appointment.

2. Listen to your body.

3. Keep a journal.

4. Lean in. Cry and holler if you need to, but don't stay there!

5. Reach out. Don't go through it alone.

🦄About Me:

In 2011, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, out of the blue. I did not have any prior health concerns or issues. Fast forward, the dreaded cancer diagnosis opened my eyes, introduced me to my purpose, and lead me to where I am today.

As a Cancer Doula, I use my 11 years of experience with cancer to support and guide others diagnosed with cancer. Many people are not familiar with what a cancer doula is. Think of me as a personal patient advocate. Schedule a free 30-minute Meet and Greet call to learn more. https://bit.ly/OTOSDiscovery
