Winta Desta (@wintadthept) is a registered Physiotherapist, strength & conditioning coach, basketball coach, and health educator. Her work lies at the intersection of health and sport where she empowers her clients, athletes, and community members to lead full, healthy lives and helps them optimize their performance. She currently works at various Pediatric clinics throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), such as Toronto Kids Physio and Boomerang Health where she provides physiotherapy services to kids and teens of all ages and varying abilities; from the developing child to the competitive athlete.
Dr.Joel Kerr aka, Dr. J is the Founder & Director Of Therapy at The Health Institute (@thehealthinstitute).
Dr. J has over 15 years of experience in the clinical setting, amateur and professional sports setting as a health care practitioner and strength and sports performance enhancement coach. Dr. J believes in educating and empowering his clients so they can make informed decisions about their health including their mental preparation to compete in their sporting arena. Providing strategies to student-athletes to focus on the now and play in the moment is the skill set Dr. J can provide with motor skill acquisition and cognitive behavior techniques. Dr.J has a Bachelor of Physical Health and Education from the University of Toronto and is a licensed Chiropractor, and obtained a Neurofunctional Acupuncturist diploma from McMaster Medical School.
