Ecclesiasties 8:6, There is a right time and a right way to do everything, but we know so little! (TEV)
The Bible compares life to a race and the Bible tells us over and over again, we are to run the race not jog it, we are to run the race. And if we look at Jesus's life and ministry, we find that it had an incredible sense of urgency. In fact, 15 times in the life of Christ in the Gospels, the word 'immediately' is used to describe something Jesus did. The apostle Paul was the same way, he wrote: 1 Timothy 6:12, Run hard and fast in the faith. (MSG) and 1 Corinthians 9:26, I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step. (NLT) But, the Bible also has a lot to say about going slow, about waiting, about taking your time, and about being patient.
In this message, we ask two questions. When should I move fast? And when should I move slow? Knowing the difference and being prepared to speed up or slow down will make a huge difference to our lives.
