Dr. Antinori discussed the ever-increasing role of women in surgery with a current 4th year surgical resident, Dr. Rebecca Kolbeck. They went over her journey from growing up in Wisconsin, to college in Texas, medical school in Virginia and residency in southern New Jersey. They discussed how difficult the training is but also found the work very satisfying. Dr. Kolbeck plans to continue her training after residency with a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery.
