I’ll be straight with you. The Incredible Hulk at Universal’s Islands of Adventure should not be your first roller coaster experience. To date, this attraction is a whopping 18 years old and still holds it’s own against the newest of coasters. As much as I love this ride, I wouldn’t recommend Hulk as your introduction to the world of roller coasters. However, if you happen to be standing in line with a group of friends, begrudgingly giving into the peer pressure, I’ll help you get through it! If you like roller coasters and haven’t experienced The Incredible Hulk, you are in for a treat. Just don’t eat or drink before riding, this isn’t the one to chance it. Trust me. The best part about any well themed thrill ride is the anticipation. The Incredible Hulk builds its anticipation through intimidation…and it’s effective. The manufacturers even omitted putting sand inside the steel track, thus purposely allowing the hollow track carry a hulk like roar that echoes throughout the park.
